Finally got some fresh Microns!! I got three new Pigma Micron 08's (0.5mm) at the University of Washington bookstore, hopefully they last a good while. They also had some Staedtler equivalents which I wanted to try and see if they lasted longer, but unfortunately their lines weren't as rich on quicker strokes.
I was pretty wiped out today so I didn't manage to any major amount of Drawabox, but I really wanted to try out the new pens (and not lose my drawing streak...) so I did a quick testing page of Ellipses in Planes. They worked pretty well, however did smear pretty easily. (If you click on the embed, you can see a larger, uncompressed scan.)
I think it's probably the fault of the paper rather than the pens, I'm using HP paper which is a bit smoother than average printer paper. Though, the ink might leech into other paper so I'm not sure what to use. We'll see, maybe I'll just live with the smearing, it's not too major.
I'm really looking forward to using them more tomorrow!
